Penelope  Tutors

Penny is a firm believer that academic success is a product of excellent teaching, confidence and the motivation to succeed.  She believes passionately that every child has the capacity for growth and personal achievement if supported by an experienced, compassionate teacher.  She brings warmth, fun and creative teaching methods to the tuition process.  In addition, Penny is a qualified neurodiverse coach and uses a toolkit of mindset based activities to help those children whose difficulty lies in organisation, attention, memory or motivation.  With a wealth of experience gathered over 25 years in the state system, as well as the private sector at schools such as James Allen’s Prep School, Highfield School, St Ives Haslemere and most recently at Cranleigh Preparatory School, she provides targeted support to enable children to approach lessons at school and entrance exams with confidence, and is able to give advice to parents about next steps in their child’s education.

Penny holds a current DBS certificate.
